Erfahrungsbericht von Alberto C.

My story is very simple. First of all, let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a retired systems engineer and I spent all my life reading English manuals on information technology and computer science. Unfortunately, technical manuals are quite simple to read, so my English didn't improve. One day I had an excellent opportunity for a job in Trinidad and Tobago, but perfect knowledge of spoken and written English was required. Therefore, I couldn't apply for the position. So I decided that sooner or later I would become fluent in English. In January 1995, I attended many courses and passed many tests. My English improved, even though I didn't have enough opportunities to talk with native speakers or to test my pronunciation and my vocabulary. Since 1995 I've been reading only English literature: novels, spy stories, and so on. Nowadays Gymglish has become a good friend to constantly revise my grammar and vocabulary. I passionately attend lessons every day. However, I'd like to have a conversation with somebody, even though I realize that it may be difficult to organize a computer course of that kind.
