(EN) At first I wanted to maintain my English. I had a B2+ level with no problem. However, I didn't want to spend 3 hours a day on it, but rather to work regularly in small doses. Gymglish's advantages: it meets these criteria. What's more, it adapts to my level: not too easy, otherwise it's boring, and not too difficult, otherwise you end up discouraged. Finally, if you want to take a Cambridge or other exam, it really helps, especially when it comes to the sometimes tricky questions in these exams. I also like the conversation with the AI (artificial intelligence). It's better than nothing! And it helps you gain confidence in speaking without anyone making fun of your accent... Gymglish's drawbacks: like any online language site, there's no substitute for real social interaction. The best thing is either to live in an English-speaking country, or to chat regularly with English speakers. As for the AI, you need to know how to steer the conversation, otherwise it tends to ask the same questions over and over again. So get to grips with it! I also find Gymglish very responsive to any problems that may arise. In short, I highly recommend Gymglish, especially for those who don't have a lot of time (stay-at-home parents, employees, etc.) but don't want to remain "quiches" in English and be able to get by, especially when traveling. (FR) À la base, je voulais maintenir plutôt mon anglais. J'avais un niveau B2+ sans problème. Cependant, n'ayant pas envie d'y passer 3h par jour mais plutôt l'envie de travailler régulièrement à petites doses. Avantages de Gymglish : il répond à ces critères. De plus, il s'adapte à mon niveau : pas trop facile car sinon c'est ennuyeux et pas trop difficile car on finit découragé. Enfin, si on veut passer un examen style Cambridge ou autre, cela aide vraiment surtout concernant les questions un peu retors parfois de ces examens. J'aime bien aussi la conversation avec l'IA (intelligence artificielle). C'est mieux que rien ! Et ça permet de prendre confiance à l'oral sans que personne ne se moque de ton accent... Inconvénients de Gymglish : comme n'importe quel site de langues en ligne, rien ne remplace la vraie interaction sociale. Le mieux est soit de vivre dans un pays anglophone, soit de discuter régulièrement avec des anglophones. Concernant l'IA, il faut savoir comment bien orienter la conversation sinon elle a tendance à poser souvent les mêmes questions. À prendre en main, quoi ! Je trouve que Gymglish est très réactif en cas de problème, ils répondent très vite. En résumé, je recommande vivement, surtout pour ceux qui n'ont pas trop de temps (parent au foyer, salarié, etc) mais qui ne veulent pas rester des "quiches" en anglais et pouvoir bien se débrouiller, notamment en voyage.
