Ordinal Numbers
Os numerais ordinais (primeiro, segundo, ...) são utilizados com a finalidade de classificar elementos de uma sequência:

| 15th | fifteenth |
| 16th | sixteenth |
| 17th | seventeenth |
| 18th | eighteenth |
| 19th | nineteenth |
| 20th | twentieth |
| 31st | thirty-first |
| 100th | one hundredth |
| 511th | five hundred and eleventh |
Nota: quando escrevemos estas palavras, acrescentamos st, nd ou th à cifra (ou número).

Expressamos os séculos e os títulos (de Rei, Rainha, Papa, falecido...) graças aos adjetivos numerais ordinais:
