I've been speaking a little Italian for 50 years now, and from time to time I try to improve it with little success. Having found an Italian girlfriend during a trip, I'm much more motivated to learn the language seriously. I was delighted with the Frantastique Orthographe lessons that I had already been taking for 5 months (being German and living in France), so I signed up for Saga Baldoria, hoping that the lessons would be as fun and entertaining as my French lessons. Yes, the story of this hotel and its new manager is just as motivating! I've chosen to have 5 lessons a week and after each lesson a little conversation with an artificial intelligence: Anna, the surgeon who has become the hotel manager. These conversations are wonderful because I have a lot of influence over the choice of subject, vocabulary and structures that I want to learn. After the conversation I reread what was said. I find my words with corrections. Then I find the right way of expressing what I wanted to say. ‘Anna also understands when I make grammatical and vocabulary mistakes and very often she uses the word I couldn't find. If I don't want to speak for one reason or another, I can choose to have this exchange in writing. I am delighted with these lessons and so grateful to Gymlish. They are always improving the courses. The way I correct my spoken mistakes has changed in the four months I've been taking the course. I'm really fascinated by this innovative and entertaining method. So far I've had 70 lessons and I haven't missed a single one! I can do them in 15 minutes if I want, but as it's so motivating I work for longer, noting down new vocabulary and ‘copying and pasting’ grammar rules and examples. I've signed up for two years and I'm already fairly fluent, despite making quite a few mistakes, but I can see my progress. The more I progress, the more motivated I am. What I also like is that I can interrupt my lessons while I'm on holiday. Thank you Gymlish!
