I am currently studying French and German at the University of Leuven. After last year's results, while I had good grades, my professor told me that I still make "annoying" mistakes at a lower level. So I could use the more complicated structures of level B1-B2, but still made a lot of errors with the gender of nouns, adverbs, etc... I was very surprised to learn that the "gauging stage" (the first few lessons to determine the level), *SEEMED* far too easy for my language level, but your AI nevertheless guessed my level perfectly (B1-B2). That's why I decided to enroll in the course. Frantastique has helped me root out a lot of those "small errors", so my everyday language has definitely improved. As a result, I also feel more confident when I speak. If you are seeking to improve your system further, I have some remarks: - the gender of nouns is very important in French, therefore I believe it should get tested way more often. I know that this is one of my weak points, yet I don't feel that the system detected my flaw. In fact when I made such a mistake, it often thought that the mistake was situated elsewhere (accord du participe passé, quel(l)(e)(s), ...). - it would be very interesting to see a system in which it's possible to actually pronounce the words, and those words would then be analyzed to determine whether they are pronounced correctly - sometimes, even at higher levels (C1~C2), content is far too easy. Usually, I only give higher ratings when I feel there is a certain degree of challenge and/or a satisfying amount of new concepts is presented. The price is OK, but for my personal situation still rather high. However, I seriously consider re-enrolling during the summer period.
