Ecco la testimonianza diNikolai S.
I have been learning English since I was eight years old. Some would say that I probably know it at the native speaker level, but the reality is quite disappointing. The problem was at school, specifically when I entered high school. Only one hour per week obviously is not enough. After that I learnt at university. It was our first western European language. I was a student of the Department of Oriental studies. So, to do a degree I had to read a great deal of special literature in English. Generally, I understand written and oral speech, and my level may be estimated as B2. Maybe I am mistaken, but it is definitely not C1 or higher. I still need to improve. I also would like to get rid of my accent and to speak like a native speaker. The other problem is myself. Yes, I have to admit it. I was a bit lazy at university, and now life is teaching me. But this time I am aware that English is my future. First, I would like to relocate and find a better job with better conditions, because in my country I cannot be confident in my future. The economy is unstable and entirely depends on oil. But that is another story. And now I have found this wonderful course, Gymglish. It is really helpful. Everything is explained. I have an opportunity to improve my language skills, make friends, effectively revise my vocabulary, that is really nice! I want to be an English teacher in an English-speaking country to give the knowledge I've gained to people who would like to know this language, like me now. English has become not only a language of a particular nation but a real modern lingua franca. People have ambitions. Some need the language for their careers, to be promoted at their jobs. For others, it is comfortable to speak a language when they are travelling. And I would like to help them. And I am sure Gymglish will help me with it.
