Voici le témoignage de Annick W.
I’m a 72-years-old French lady. My husband is French too, and more fluent in English than I am. He enjoys my Gymglish lessons just as much as I do. We are very fond of the Southwest in the US. With international friends, we exchange in English about pictures posted on the famous website 500px. My English-speaking level is enough to survive any situation, but I still need to make progress in my understanding of English spoken by native speakers. I can’t imagine traveling without talking with the people I meet. I discovered Gymglish in April/May 2020, when we were in lockdown and never missed a single lesson. I am really fond of their offer. The method is original and attractive, the stories are really funny and interesting and deal with many topics such as history, society, and the knowledge of various countries. These lessons are the result of artists’ work (designers, singers, bilingual or even trilingual teachers I guess). Each morning I open my computer and have a look at my daily lesson. I then leave it for a while and come back several times during the day. I try to answer the questions on my own. Sometimes I check in one of my grammar books, I also talk about it with my husband. Each time we hear the Radio Rhubarb’s jingle, we know we are in for a lot of fun. I also love the self-request vocabulary. It is easy to read it anywhere with the dedicated app on my smartphone. The Delavigne Corp is awesome too. We have become familiar with the many characters of the story. It’s a pleasure to meet the large panel of actors in so many situations. I love the different accents, and I must say that Jean Marron’s awfully French accent pushes me to try to do better. My secret ambition is, one day, not to be perceived as a French person when chatting with English or American people. Well, I’m not out of the woods yet. I really love this daily meeting and I have just taken a new subscription, valid until April 2024. Annick Walter (a.k.a. Nonna)
