Here is Susan S's success story.
I am a retired child psychiatrist. I don’t really like being retired, I loved my job. Just before I retired, I bought a lovely old farmhouse in southwestern France, near a beautiful village called Brantome. I spent a month there, but the last time I was able to go there was January 2020. Since then, the global pandemic has denied me the fun of travel. I miss my lovely house in the French countryside! But I have been busy brushing up on my old school girl French. It has been so much fun. I really enjoy the characters, Victor Hugo and friends. I look forward to opening up a new episode, which I do 2 or 3 times a week. I think I am getting a bit better with my French! Maybe by the time I can travel again, I will be more fluent and I will be able to chat with my neighbors. And I hope I won’t make the mistake of ordering food I can't eat, as I did once before.
