¿Después or después de?

Después (later, after, then, afterwards) indicates an action subsequent to another.

Hablamos después (más tarde)

We'll talk later, Talk to you later

Hablamos después de cenar.

We spoke after dinner.

We use:

Después de + verbs in the infinitive.

Nacho está cansado después de trabajar.

Nacho is tired after working.

Después de + (el, la ,los, las) + noun.

Te llamo después de la siesta.

I'll call you after the siesta.

El martes va después del lunes (de + el = del)

Tuesday comes after Monday (de + el = del)

Después goes on its own when placed at the end of a sentence or when it connects two clauses.

See you later?

Iré a la playa y después quedaré con Teo.

I'll go to the beach and then meet up with Teo.
