The expression "a case of" when talking about an illness does not directly translate to many languages:
I suffer from a mild case of claustrophobia. I am slightly claustrophobic.
I have a severe case of sadness. I am very very sad.
(he has) a minor case of (the flu): (he has the flu) but it is not serious
- "Bob : He just had a minor case of the flu but, thank you."
- "I suffer from a severe case of vertigo."
- "He has a severe case of the flu, which is contagious in its early stages."
