Si means the same thing as oui: "yes". We use it to disagree with negative questions and respond in the affirmative: - Tu aimes les chats? - Oui! (-Do you like cats? -Yes!)
Tu ne m'aimes plus ? - Mais si ! Je t'aime toujours ; -Don't you love me any more? -Of course I do! I still love you;
Je ne crois pas que l'homme a marché sur la Lune. - Mais si c'est vrai ! Crois-moi ! I don't believe that man has walked on the Moon. - But it's true! Believe me
