Verbs conjugated with je in the present tense that end in -s
In the present tense, verbs in the second and third groups that don't end in '-er', take an '-s' in the first person singular (je).
Finir → je finis (I finish, I'm finishing)
Faire → je fais (I do, I'm doing)
Prendre → je prends (I take, I'm taking)
Voir → je vois (I see, I'm seeing)
Connaître → je connais (I know)
Être → je suis (I am)
Aller → je vais (I go, I'm going)
Faire → je fais (I do, I'm doing)
Prendre → je prends (I take, I'm taking)
Voir → je vois (I see, I'm seeing)
Connaître → je connais (I know)
Être → je suis (I am)
Aller → je vais (I go, I'm going)
Exceptions to the rule:
Pouvoir, vouloir → je peux, je veux (I can, I want)
Cueillir, offrir, ouvrir → je cueille, j’offre, j’ouvre (I gather, I'm gathering), (I offer, I'm offering), (I open, I'm opening)
Avoir → j’ai (I have, I'm having)
