Second and third group verbs in the imperative
For most second and third group verbs (all the verbs except those that end in -ER), the imperative is conjugated in the same way as the present.
finir en
(tu) finis
(nous) finissons
(vous) finissez
(nous) finissons
(vous) finissez
prendre en
(tu) prends
(nous) prenons
(vous) prenez
(nous) prenons
(vous) prenez
boire en
(tu) bois
(nous) buvons
(vous) buvez
(nous) buvons
(vous) buvez
Exceptions: The verbs souffrir, ouvrir, offrir, cueillir and savoir don't take an s in the 2nd person singular (tu) form.
Ouvre la porte ! ouvrir, impératif présent Open the door!
Offre-moi des fleurs plus souvent ! offrir, impératif présent Buy me flowers more often!
Sache que j'ai toujours raison. savoir, impératif présent Know that I'm always right.
