Verbs ending in -oir with past participles ending in -u

The verbs vouloir (to want) falloir (to need to), valoir (to be worth/cost), voir (to see) have past participles that end in -u. To create them, remove the -oir and add -u (vouloir → voulu, falloir → fallu, etc.).

Note: we form the passé composé with the present tense form of the auxiliary verbs être and avoir + past participle of the main verb.
