Jusqu'à vs. jusqu'en

Jusqu'à and jusqu'en (until) both indicate the end of a period of time. We use jusqu'à with the following time indicators: ce soir (this evening), demain (tomorrow), lundi (Monday), Noël (Christmas), mon retour (my return), etc.
Je peux t’emprunter ta voiture jusqu’à lundi prochain ? Can I borrow your car until next Monday?
Jusqu’à l’âge de 10 ans, je n’ai jamais mangé de moutarde. Until the age of 10, I never ate mustard.
Jusqu’à quand tu restes à Paris ? Until when are you staying in Paris?
Note the contractions of jusqu’à + le = jusqu’au and jusqu’à + les = jusqu’aux. We use jusqu'au when the date or event is preceeded by the article le: le 5 mars (March 5th), le printemps (the spring), le dernier lundi du mois (the last Monday of the month), le retour de Victor (the return of Victor), etc. We use jusqu'aux when the date or event is preceeded by les: les vacances (the holidays) les élections (the elections), etc.
Je suis en vacances jusqu’au 3 janvier. I'm on vaction until January 3rd (we say le 3 janvier).
Nous continuerons la grève jusqu’aux élections. We'll continue to strike until the elections.
• We use jusqu'en in front of months and years.
Je travaille jusqu’en juin. I'm working until June.
Il n’y a pas d’augmentation prévue jusqu’en 2032. No (pay) raises are planned until 2032.
