a ylang ylang: a small flower from the cananga tree of South East Asia
Ylang ylang (Cananga odorata), or ilang-ilang, is a tree from the Annonaceae family, originating from South East Asia. It is cultivated to use the flowers from which they extract, by a process of distillation, some oil used very much in the perfume industry.
