Verbs ending in -yer in the conditional present
To conjugate verbs that end in -YER, such as payer (to pay), replace the ending, -YER with -IER and then add the endings -ais, -ais, ait,-ions, -iez, -aient. The same goes for ennuyer (to bore/irritate), nettoyer (to clean), etc.

You can also retain the -y for verbs that end in -AYER, such as payer (to pay), balayer (to sweep), essayer (to try), etc.

Si tu voulais vraiment m'aider, tu essaierais de réparer mon ordinateur. If you really wanted to help me, you would try repairing my computer.
