Numbers from 100 to 1000

The hundreds:


100 : cent
200 : deux-cents
300 : trois-cents 

400 : quatre-cents 

500 : cinq-cents 


600 : six-cents 
700 : sept-cents 

800 : huit-cents 
900 : neuf-cents 
1 000 : mille

Numbers in the 100s are formed as follows: centaines (hundreds) + dizaines (tens) + unités (units).

When writing 200, 300, etc., cent (hundred) needs an -s on the end. However, if it is followed by another number (as in 733 and 905 above), cent (hundred) does not need an -s on the end:
